How did you discover green beauty: Back in 2015, I was looking for a natural remedy for my acne breakouts, I did a lot of research, came across a lot of green beauty bloggers, and discovered some natural brands at Urban Outfitters and Whole Foods.
What advice would you share with someone who is interested in transitioning their beauty regime: Take baby steps. It can be overwhelming to switch your entire beauty routine but a great rule of thumb is to purchase a natural, non-toxic product once you run out of your conventional product. Everyone can enjoy natural beauty products that perform well at various price points.
Tell us about your daily makeup routine: I like to use Kari Gran Three Sixty Five SPF 28, Vapour Atmosphere Luminous Foundation, Silk Naturals Blush in Baby Maybe or Vapour Aura Multi-Use Blush in Spark or Charm, W3LL PEOPLE Bio Brightener Powder, Teri Miyahira Brow Palette, HAN Sunset Eyeshadow and Henne Organics Lip Tint in Coral.
Favorite high-end beauty product: Kari Gran Three Sixty Five SPF 28—it feels like
silk and doesn’t break my sensitive, acne-prone skin out.
Favorite drugstore item: All the eyeshadows, highlighters, and blushes from Silk
What's one beauty brand that you think everyone should know about: Vapour Organic Beauty. I’m obsessed with their natural-looking stick foundation and blushes.
Green beauty dupe: Sappho Brow Pomade is a great dupe for the Anastasia Dip Brow.
One beauty product you can’t be with out: Kaia Naturals Takesumi Detox Deodorant.
I was a clinical-strength deodorant user prior to switching to green beauty and this
deodorant beats all of the conventional ones I’ve used in the past.
You have beautiful skin. Can you tell us about your skin care routine: Thank you! I try my best to keep my skincare routine simple since I have reactive, blemish-prone skin so I like to use Fig +Yarrow Gold Clay Mask as a cleanser, Mountain Rose Herbs Hemp Seed Oil as a Makeup Remover and Moisturizer, and Hollybeth Organics Rose Water as a toner.
Beauty Secret: Drink a lot of water and take care of yourself internally. I love taking
ingestibles to help my skin. My current favorite is the OMG! Omega the Great from
Why do you think self-care is so important: Implementing a self-care ritual relieves
my stress and worries and helps me feel confident in myself.
Who inspires you: Every green beauty blogger, YouTuber, and Instagramer I
follow! I draw bits and pieces of inspiration from people here and there!
You share beautiful photos on your instagram account. What tips would you
share with someone who wants to improve the quality of their photos?
Lighting is super important as is styling. Get a feel for your personal style by
creating mood boards. When taking product photos, focus on the composition and
throw in some fun props. Once you master those, decide whether or not you'd like to
invest in a quality camera to elevate your content.
Final thoughts: Have fun with green beauty!
