I'd been eager to try Ere Perez cosmetics ever since my green beauty buddies Cindy and Nary started raving about the companies Natural Almond Mascara. My desire to try their products was amplified further after I learned that the creator, Ere Perez, is a Latina (by way of Mexico) living in Australia on a mission to create and share natural yet effective beauty products with the world. Before I had a chance to pick up the mascara myself, the Ere Perez team reached out and asked if I'd be interested in trying out some of their products. Perfect timing I thought! Of course I said yes so below is a review of the items I tested out during the month of February. Spot any of your favorites?
Oat Milk Foundation- I tested out the color Chai and was pleasantly surprised that it was a great match for my skin tone. The Oat Milk Foundation is made with oat milk, peach and vitamin E to nourish skin and since it's made with out any questionable ingredients, it won't clog pores. The foundation is described as providing medium to full coverage but I find it to be more of a light to medium coverage foundation which is the type of coverage I enjoy so I've been wearing it non-stop since I got it. It has a dewey finish so I like to set it with a little powder so it stays in place all day. Their website recommends you use their vegan multi-purpose brush to apply it however I preferred using my finger tips to blend in the product. Overall, I think this is a great everyday foundation. At the moment, they only make 6 shades so I hope they add a more diverse shade range in the future.
Natural Concealer-This product really caught my eye because the star ingredient is Arnica which is an ingredient that has been used for centuries in Mexico for its anti inflammatory properties and as far as I know, Ere Perez is the only one using this magical ingredient in their product. Arnica also helps to fight bruising so I think its genius that they put it in their Natural Concealers. For best application, I recommend applying an eye cream underneath the product and applying it with a concealer brush or ring finger. The concealer goes on creamy and sets matte so you only need the tiniest bit of powder to set the product. Overall I think this is a great everyday light weight concealer.
Pro Tip: The concealers seem to run a little light so I would go one shade darker that you think.
Carrot Colour Pot- I really enjoyed the formula of these cheek and lip pots because they have a satin to matte finish with I love. I tested out the color Holy which is a neutral berry color and gives the cheeks a lovely wind blown look. On the lips the color can be applied sheer for a lip stained feel or more opaque for a satin lipstick look. I really loved the color Holy so I am going to pick up the shade Healthy next because it looks like a really pretty natural tawny color that would be great for no makeup makeup days. I think these Carrot Colour Pots would make a great addition to any makeup bag.
Natural Almond Mascara - I have found my all time favorite mascara!!! The Natural Almond Mascara is it for me. I can't tell you how many different mascaras I've tried through out the years. There were some I liked but none of them passed all 4 of my holy grail criteria.
- Flake free
- Holds a lash curl
This mascara does it all! In fact, I loved it so much I went out and bought a backup for myself and my sister at Credo so I wouldn't be without it. Since this is a holy grail product for me I really wanted one of my readers to get a chance to try this product so the lovely folks over at Ere Perez Tijuana agreed to partner with me to giveaway one of their Natural Almond Mascaras.
